Vyāz (Devanāgarī: व्यास) is a much revered personality in vedic traditions. He is also sometimes refered to as Veda Vyaz '(वेद व्यास, veda vyāz), (one who compiled the Vedas) or Krishna Dvaipayana (his complexion and birthplace). He is accredited as the scribe of both Vedas, and many supplementary texts like the Puranas.

Our Interpretation

Vyāz has been interpreted by us to represent Value, Yin-Yang Astrology and Zen. It delves into traditions, into former beliefs to extract the wisdom; it uses BPEL and SOA to orchestrate a principle that Sage Vyaz wanted us to adopt in the first place - communicating correctly. This is a unique place to unite the Tradition with the Electronics and Digital world of the internet.

The new millenium witnessed yet another evolution in computing. It cast away the 'Functional' (procedural) thinking that was replaced by 'Object' Classes and Object Oriented metaphysics into Business Processes / Service Oriented Architectural concepts. Fundamentally, nothing changed -- yet a lot did. The mindset that had just got used to treating associations and interactions between objects as a way of life (different from the procedural (waterfall) approach to problem solving - now became an abstract world of setting all these objects and procedures to a unsigned, unknown entity - namely Service Oriented Architecture.  Vyaz simplifies this transition, this change in mindset through live examples from Value, eJyotish and GrafxShop.

Value© remains the core of .services - it is the fundamental of any business - accounting, inventory, manufacturing in a controlled, auditible, secure and seamless system. Many events in life are simply predictable; (not governed by mathematical probability); these events are dependent on rhythmic diurnal and nocturnal changes; seasonal; lunar and solar. Ejyotish© attempts to fathom many forgotten texts and findings of the past where our ancestors studied predictive behavior based on astronomical and astrological sciences. The application derives a lot from the ancient Vedic Astrology - Jyotish. Jyotish is a key part of the Vedas. Jyotish literally means the science of light - the divine light that leads to revelation - revelation of a coded destiny. That leads to an interesting question. Can Jyotish describe our karmic life? Even subtle knowledge of the unexpected can avert disasters. Simple Rules here - being forewarned being forearmed.

 

 Both applications above offer many services (as XML and Web Services through WSDL). Vyaz uses a BPM orchestration engine that is simple to design through BPEL markup and uses the different services to complete a business process. Instead of relying on peer-to-peer communication, the process uses the services along the way (to completion).
